The strongest economy of Europe, Germany, predicts that it will not be able to meet production demands due to the shortage of experts in the manufacturing/production, machinery, chemical and automotive industries, which it sees as the biggest obstacle to economic growth. This, currently, makes itself actually felt in many areas of the industry and causes restrictions on production, despite potential and demand.
For example, today, Germany needs at least 75,000 machine engineers.Although this need is spread across the industry, it covers a wide range of qualifications from engineering positions to machine operators and line workers.
In order to overcome this problem, Germany has put the draft law into force as of 01.03.2020, which opens the way to recruit staff from outside the European Union.
